 FAQs

  • Nature Tech Week is a week-long, community-driven convergence of global leaders, innovators, and practitioners dedicated to leveraging technology to address the nature crisis. It’s focused on advancing the field of nature tech, the tools, data, and innovation helping restore ecosystems and build a nature-positive future.

  • Nature Tech Week is for anyone passionate about advancing the intersection of technology and nature to address the accelerating loss of biodiversity worldwide. It brings together a diverse and dynamic community, including:

    • Private Sector Leaders: Companies embedding nature-positive practices into their strategies, managing nature-related risks, and innovating within supply chains.

    • Policymakers and Regulators: Those shaping and implementing frameworks that drive transparency, accountability, and alignment with global biodiversity goals.

    • Conservation and Sustainability Experts: Practitioners scaling impactful tools, sharing experiences, and collaborating on transformative actions for nature.

    • Nature Tech Innovators and Project Developers: Pioneers designing and implementing projects that use technology to restore and protect ecosystems at scale.

    • Academics and Researchers: Thought leaders exploring the complex issues at the heart of the nature–technology interface to inform and inspire new solutions.

    • Community Builders and Advocates: Champions of collective action, eager to connect, share ideas, and strengthen the global nature tech movement.

  • Nature Tech Week brings together every layer of the movement, from strategic dialogues to hands-on collaboration.

It spans established gatherings like the UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC)’s Nature Action Dialogues, where leaders from business, finance, and conservation align on actionable pathways, to more open and experimental sessions such as the Nature Tech Unconference and community events across London and Cambridge.

This mix of structure and creativity makes the week distinct. Strategy meets practice. Big-picture frameworks meet real projects. People who rarely sit in the same room have a shared space to exchange, test ideas, and act together.

It matters because progress on nature loss depends on that connection, turning global ambition into collective, practical action before 2030.
